this movie surpassed so much of what i had taken for granted in animated films. the dramatic lighting was so innovative in some shots, including this one. not many animated films have such… pragmatic light sources, with the overall darkness and minimal light. they made it seem so much more realistically shot, as if i was watching a live-action film. they pushed the boundaries and made it that much more enjoyable to watch.
